Lake Nockamixon in Ottsville, PA, is now MMY’s home base for paddleboarding. It is the home of our 625 square foot paddleboard rental shop and business office. Our shop is next to Owowcow Ice Cream Store, just a short drive to our launch location of Haycock Boat Launch within the 5,286-acre Nockamixon State Park. Nockamixon is close enough to Philadelphia for a day trip but far enough away for a vacation. The 1,450-acre Lake Nockamixon is a rest stop for migrating waterfowl and a destination for boaters and paddle boarders.
Surrounded by the rolling hills of Hunterdon County, Spruce Run Recreation Area is popular with picnickers, swimmers, fishermen, boaters, and campers. The reservoir was one of the first water supply facilities to be constructed and operated by the state. It covered 1,290 acres with 15 miles of shoreline for recreation. Spruce Run is the third-largest reservoir in the state after Round Valley and Wanaque reservoirs. Spruce Run has been the home of our signature SUP Yoga classes since 2015. We meet at the car-top boat launch for energizing and peaceful paddles and yoga classes several times a week.
Route 33 Boat Launch on the D & L trail Lehigh River Boat Launch is our newest location for classes in the tri-state area. Located centrally between Bethlehem, PA, and Palmer Township in Easton, PA, we have come to use this location for our signature Paddlefit, Flotillas, and Social Paddles. When the river is calm and quiet, we see deer, beavers, and various types of waterfowl. We love using this location to paddle up the river, using the resistance of the current to build strength and stamina, then floating back down the river. Please note that a valid DCNR registration sticker is required to bring your board to these classes.
Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga (SUP Yoga)
SUP Yoga all levels class is 90 minutes long. The first 30 minutes are dedicated to properly learning how to use a paddleboard and peacefully paddle at our location. The remaining hour is dedicated to yoga on the paddleboard. Each board has an individual anchor that is dropped before the Yoga portion of class begins so that the student does not drift away while focusing on their practice. These classes are open to “all levels.” Students are taken through a Vinyasa Yoga flow with customized and detailed instruction for the paddleboard. Even if they have not been practicing yoga for years or have never been on a paddleboard, they will be able to follow along with no problem.
Your go-to summer workout! SUP is an amazing exercise for every part of the body, inside and out. A well-balanced workout to stretch, strengthen, and build stamina throughout the body while teaching core paddle boarding stroke techniques. Certified through PaddleFit Core, our staff will teach proper SUP stroke technique, endurance paddles, and even fitness exercises on the paddleboards to help paddlers strengthen their core, balance, and endurance out on the water.
PaddleTours: Full Moon Paddles & Birder on Boards
Take the time to enjoy a beautiful sunset paddle tour for a one-of-a-kind experience on Lake Nockamixon. Led by our PaddleCore Fitness certified coaches, classes are designed for all-level paddling classes, where students will work on basic SUP techniques, exploring all that nature has to offer. All materials and equipment provided. Can’t wait to see you there!
Kundalini yoga on the paddle boards will offer different opportunities to transform your inner & outer environment. We will work with Asana (postures), Pranayama (breath), Mudra (hand positions), Mantra (chanting) & of course, paddle skills…. Each class will incorporate different elements into your practice, bringing you to a full new understanding of yourself. This class is for all levels, and most importantly, bring an open mind & expect the unexpected. Each class will feature a water gong meditation.
Social Paddles & Flotillas
Hang and paddle your heart out with your local SUP community. MMY will be hosting a weekly social paddle every Friday evening, where students are welcome to bring their boards or rent one of ours. There is no formal teaching or instruction on these evenings. Rather, we see it as an opportunity to hang out, spend time on the water, and further your paddle skills. We would love to see you out on the water to kick off your weekend, hope to see you soon.
SUP Minis (for the kids)
SUP Minis, aka stand-up paddleboard for kids ages 8 to 12, is an energetic, fun class for kids to explore all aspects of SUP in a kid-friendly environment. Certified ChildLight Yoga instructor Brooke Kohler will lead minis through various SUP activities, ranging from basic SUP skills, SUP yoga, water games, nature tours, mindfulness practices, and activities for kids to develop safety knowledge and strength on and off the water.

Team MMY can accommodate any private SUP session to suit your special day or event, including individual and group classes to take your SUP experience to the next level. We offer private lessons for PaddleSkillz, PaddleFitness, Paddle Tours, SUP Yoga, Kundalini SUP, SUP Minis, and Family SUP outings.
